For the 2024–2025 academic year, I designed the official study guide for first-year Graphic Design students at University of Arts Utrecht (HKU), in collaboration with Matthijs Zeman. The guide serves as both a practical introduction to the programme and a visual introduction to first-year students.
With this design, we wanted to highlight the analogue character of graphic design. Working with analogue techniques is an essential part of the first-year curriculum and therefore forms the core of the guide’s visual language and material choices. In addition, the cover has a dual function: it can be unfolded into an A3 poster.
