HKU Media graduation catalogue 2026

This catalogue is a collection of the graduation works of HKU Media 2026. Not to show them as completed projects, but as an ongoing process.
When the students arrived at the academy, they were seeking guidance, knowledge and skills. Their final year marks a turning point. Instead of merely consuming, these graduates are now consciously and unconsciously contributing something to students, fellow graduates and alumni.
Through diverse projects, critical perspectives and the traces they leave behind at the academy, they create a contribution to the academy, through which students, graduates and alumni stay connected. In this way, the constantly evolving practice is gradually getting nourished.
(on)going refers to that turning point: the moment of leaving and, at the same time, continuing. Graduation does not mark an end, but a shift: from creating within the academy to a practice outside, where it continues to develop. (on)going starts from the idea that work does not stop upon graduation. Instead of simply showing results, the focus is on how work is created and developed. Process and archive images play a central role in this, providing insight into the steps, choices, and directions that shape the work. Within the academy, this creates space to share, listen and help each other move forward.

For the HKU Media graduation catalogue, I contributed to the design of the physical publication, focusing on the development of its navigation system, layout structure and typographic system.
